ABOUT ABA
Applied Behavior Analysis, ABA, is a scientifically validated approach that:
1. Helps reliably identify environmental variables which influence socially significant behavior
2. Develops a technology to change behavior by taking advantage of specific discoveries
In laymen’s terms, ABA is a process in which systemic interventions are applied with the intention of identifying and addressing social and measurable behaviors in order to improve the quality of life, both for the individual AND his/her social network. By modifying interactions within an individual’s environment, behavior changes can be produced. ABA therapies are particularly efficacious for very early learners, especially when those learners are diagnosed with Autism (and/or other related developmental delays). At Rooted in Play, we encourage proactive teaching strategies from treatment’s conception in order to foster achievement across the natural environment.
Pediatric Behavior Consulting
Applied behavior analysis treatments are established based on the philosophy that the environment plays a direct role in behavior. Through our holistic process, we address the root issue and develop the most effective treatment plan for your child.
Assessments
We conduct various developmental assessments based on your child’s age group including but not limited to: (FBA) Functional behavior assessment, Functional Analysis, VB-MAPP, Vineland, DAY-C, and Data Analysis.
Advocacy Services
We offer holistic support outside of ABA and provide various advocacy and consultation services such as Education Consulting, Program Development, and Supervision.
Family Services
We work with families with previous or ongoing ABA services to address improvements of their current program. We offer parent education, in-home and community based support depending on each individual client needs to provide the best implementation of services.
